Alpha High-Strength Gypsum Powder Project- Production technology introduction
This process adopts the high-pressure aqueous solution method. The principle is to add desulfurized gypsum into an aqueous solution containing a crystal modifier to make a suspension. Then, the suspension is pressurized and heated while being continuously stirred. After that, through clarification, filtration, drying, and grinding, the product can be obtained.
1. Premixing of the slurry
The desulfurized gypsum is metered, and water and other additives are metered separately. Then, they are sent into the mixing tank through the slurry - making and conveying system with stirring. At the same time, water is added to the mixing tank to mix with the gypsum, so that the mass concentration of the slurry reaches 1250 - 1350 g/L, and the concentration can be increased to 1450 g/L. Meanwhile, the slurry is heated to reach the temperature required by the process (60 -90°C).
2. First crystal transformation
1.1Crystal transformer according to the process steps for crystallization.
1.2 Initial crystallization - First, a certain amount of hot water is added to the No. 1 reactor, and then the given slurry and additive A are added. The crystal transformation starts at about 120°C and an absolute pressure of 0.3 -0.4 MPa. At the same time, samples are taken every 10 - 20 minutes and observed under a microscope to check the formation of crystal shapes.
1.3 Recrystallization - The functional additive B and the slurry are fed into the No. 1 reactor together according to the given values. If the crystals are all needle - shaped, the main reasons are that the addition coefficient of additive B is too low and the temperature difference is too large. Basic technological process and steps
1.4 Repair of crystallization - The slurry is added to the No. 1 reactor until the slurry level reaches about 90% of its volume. The proportion of the admixture is adjusted, and the reaction temperature is controlled at 110 - 130°C and the pressure at 0.3 -0.4 MPa to repair the recrystallized gypsum crystals. Samples are taken for observation. When about 98% of the dihydrate gypsum crystals are transformed into regular hemihyd rate gypsum crystals, the slurry is pumped into the No. 2 reactor.
3. Second crystal transformation
The second crystal transformation is carried out in the secondary crystal transformer. The temperature is controlled at 120 -130°C, the pressure at 0.3 - 0.4 MPa, and the reaction time is stabilized at 0.5 h. When it is found that there are basically no fine and irregular particles, the product is basically α - gypsum.
4. Crystal separation
The well crystallized gypsum slurry discharged from the No. 2 reactor enters the centrifuge along the pipeline at a set conveying speed.Under the high - speed rotation of the centrifuge, most of the water in the gypsum slurry is removed under the action of a certain temperature and hot air, and then it enters the next process.
5. Drying
The hemihydrate gypsum crystals from the centrifuge enter the dryer. The temperature in the front area of the dryer is 180 -230°C, the discharge temperature is 75 - 105°C, and the frequency of the dryer is 10 - 50 Hz. Dried under the action of the
stirring shaft, the hemihydrate gypsum crystals are turned into dry pure α - gypsum crystals and discharged.
