Vercical boiling furnance, also named as Boiling Calciner

Boiling Calciner is an indirect and efficient calcination equipment for fluidized calcination of certain fineness of gypsum dihydrate powder and dehydration to make gypsum hemihydrate. Calcined dihydrate raw material is natural gypsum dihydrate powder or industrial by-product gypsum dihydrate powder and its heating medium is flue gas. The heat source required for calcination is hot flue gas, steam, heat-conducting oil, electric auxiliary heat and other heat transfer media. The structural design of boiling calciner is in line with JC/T2581-2021 standard of gypsum building materials industry.


The bed state of the boiling calciner belongs to the bubbling bed, so the furnace is figuratively called "boiling calciner".

Boiling calciner calcination furnace calcination part of a vertical straight barrel container at the bottom of a gas distribution board, gas distribution board can be designed porous plate or there are many small hood.

The purpose is to support the solid powder in the shutdown work without powder leakage, in the work of the gas flow from the bottom evenly into the bed. There are overflow holes on the furnace wall at the upper interface of the bed for discharge. In the bed layer is equipped with a large number of heating tubes, the heating medium in the tubes is flue gas or other hot media, the heat is transferred to the fluidized gypsum powder outside the tubes through the tube wall, and the gypsum powder is dehydrated and decomposed.

In normal operation, air is drummed in from the bottom of the boiling calciner and enters the fluidized bed through the gas distribution plate. Drum into the air does not need a lot, slightly more than the critical gas velocity, so that the bed to achieve fluidization can be. At this time submerged in the fluidized bed in the heating tube to the material to transfer a large amount of heat, so that the gypsum dihydrate powder to reach the temperature of dehydration decomposition, gypsum dihydrate in the fluidized bed to remove the water of crystallization and become steam, these vapors and the bottom of the furnace drummed into the air mixed together, through the bed upward movement. Since the amount of steam is much more than the drummed-in air, the fluidization of the whole bubbling bed is mainly realized by the steam formed by gypsum dehydration. Because of the intense tumbling and mixing of the powder in the fluidized bed, the temperature and composition of the material are almost the same everywhere in the whole fluidized bed.

The raw gypsum powder continuously put into the bed, as soon as it enters the bed, almost instantly mixes evenly with a large amount of hot material in the bed, and rapidly dehydrates and decomposes in the hot powder material. In order to avoid premature short-circuiting and discharge of the just-entered raw material without completing the dewatering process, a partition is sandwiched in the furnace at the time of design, dividing the fluidized bed into two parts of large and small, and the bottom of the two parts is connected. The raw gypsum powder line enters the large part, where most of the crystalline water is removed, and then enters the small part through the lower channel, where the final dehydration process is completed, and then automatically overflows out of the upper part of the bed.
